Salem is a striking senior with golden eyes, a semi-long black coat, and a feline flair for fashion (yes, that pink-striped tie is all him!). He’s sweet, chatty, affectionate, and enjoys the simple pleasures in life—sunny spots, gentle pats, creamy treats and quiet company.
Salem has just been diagnosed with hyperthyroidism and is very underweight, but he's begun treatment with Thyronorm (liquid medication, twice daily).
With good nutrition and regular care, he’s expected to improve steadily - though we will have more information in the coming weeks.
He’ll need:
- A loving home with a calm environment
- Someone comfortable giving daily meds - though he may be a candidate for radioactive iodine treatment soon.
- Regular vet check-ins as his treatment progresses
Salem is ready to begin the next chapter of his life—with someone who sees the beauty in giving a second chance to a beautiful senior.
