Sally and Betty

These sweet grannies who we believe are sisters had an owner reportedly could not wait for them to die. He went camping and left them alone. They were terribly matted and were shaved at the pound. Their vision is poor and their hearing is not great, but they are the gentlest sweetest dogs. They are very appreciative of some care and are easy to handle. Our vets feel that they are a few years older than what is on the microchip. Their mouths were very sore. Betty had 5 teeth removed and Sally had 11 removed. X rays showed their hearts are OK. They really enjoy soft mushy chicken with broth. We are working on their ear infections ATM. Betty is a bit protective of her food, so is best fed away from Sally. They are on antinol for joint mobility. They enjoy gentle exercise. They have low-shedding coats and Betty weighs 5kg and Sally 4.4kg.
