Joey

Joey is a sad little boy who looks like he has never had any human kindness. At the pound he was reported as grumpy and is certainly very fearful of mops and boots. When you spend time with him you see the happy affectionate side of him emerge. He so wants human attention and just loves pats. It appears he has not been picked up in the past and this has to be done slowly and carefully.  Once you have a relationship, you can pick him up. Joey can resource guards things like beds, bowls, toys and even humans so he needs an experienced family to care for him. This behaviour is so common with dogs who have never had anything pleasurable in their lives. He has made enormous progress in the time he has been with us and he is trying so hard. He is very smart and very food motivated! He is social with other small dogs. He has had a dental with has included an abscessed tooth. He has a short coat and weighs 6kg.
