Gia needs a family who understand life has not been kind to her and have the time and patience to build her confidence and show her that not all people are evil. She came from a home with severe domestic violence where she was severely beaten as a puppy and she is now very protective of females and children. She warms up quickly to experienced gentle dog people. She is a shy anxious dog who is skittish with loud noises and strangers. She needs a lot of confidence building. She loves her toys and has a very athletic build. She has a short coat and weighs 23.1kg.
